IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2016 Details

1) Nationality

A candidate must be either
(i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) A Tibetan Refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has originally migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India. Candidate belonging to category other than (i) must have a proper certificate of eligibility which is issued by the Government of India.

2) Educational Qualification

According to the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2016, the applicants should hold the graduate degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India.
Aspirants should possess the operating and working knowledge in computer and have a certificate/diploma/degree in computer operations/language or should have studied computer/information technology as one of the subjects in the high school/college.

3) Language skills:

must be proficient in the official language of the state/UT through which he is applying. It includes reading/writing and speaking.
All the above-mentioned educational qualifications should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies. Proper document from Board / University for the result declaration has to be submitted at the time of interview.

4) Age limit

The age of the applicant must be at least 20 years and not more than 28 years as on date of reckoning for the same ( to be mentioned in the notice).
